What are edit restrictions?
Edit restrictions are account-level limitations that prevent you from creating new services or editing existing ones. They are applied when an account activity violates platform guidelines, such as editing a service that is no longer allowed or creating duplicate listings.
Why was my account restricted?
Common reasons for edit restrictions include:
- Editing a service and changing it to a service that is on the disallowed list
- Creating multiple separate listings for the same service (for example, creating separate services for different quantity tiers instead of using the Extras section)
- Repeated policy violations
How to request removal of edit restrictions
- Make sure you are logged in with the primary email address associated with your account. Requests submitted from a secondary email may not be processed.
- Submit a new support ticket explaining your situation and requesting the restriction be removed.
- In your ticket, include your username and a brief description of the actions that led to the restriction.
- Wait for a support agent to review your request. Depending on the nature of the restriction, a 30-day waiting period may apply before the restriction can be lifted.
Tips to avoid future restrictions
- Use the Extras section to offer different pricing tiers for the same service instead of creating separate listings.
- Review the list of disallowed services before making edits.
- If the Extras button is not working, clear your browser cache and try again. If the issue persists, contact support before creating a new service listing.
Still need help?
